ApHC Hall of Fame Breeders

IB Stables has been a long-time contributor to the Appaloosa breed. As one of the smaller breeding operations in the industry we breed only top quality mares to outstanding stallions. Over the years we have bred multiple National and World Champions.

IB Stable's breeding program started with a great broodmare by the name Bendi Charge. In 2000, Bendi was inducted into the ApHC's Hall Of Fame by producing five offspring that had won the equivalent to National Championships. Four of the five were bred, raised and shown by IB Stables. Only 12 mares had ever been inducted at that point in time.

In 2004, Death Wish won the National Championship in Open Steer Daubing with Rose Snyder aboard, becoming Sudden Death's 5th colt to win a Championship qualifying her for the Hall Of Fame, like her dam Bendi Charge.

Then in 2005 Eyes Of Death obtained a National Championship in Open Nez Perce Stake Race to become Sudden Death's sixth medallion winner. Only 2 other mares in the history of the ApHC have ever produced 6 medallion winners.

In 2006, 2 of Sudden Deaths produce, Kiss of Death and Death Wish earned their Silver Medallions for year end high point FPD Halter winners.

In 2007, Dances With Death won the Figure 8 Stake Race to become Sudden Deaths third Silver Medallion winner.

The farm's stallion, My Brightest Hope, also contributes to our long line of winners. Named the ApHC's 2004 all time leading sire of competitive distance riding medallion winners, Hope has been a large part of our breeding operation. My Brightest Hope has sired eight bronze medallion and three silver medallion winning horses, several more National Top Ten finalists and Over-All Champions out of under 100 foals. At 30 years of age, he is retired from breeding outside mares but continues to sire top quality foals owned by the farm.

Our breeding program is very small but very high quality. We handle and imprint all of our own foals and train most through their early competition years. A few come available for sale to the right person in the right situation.

Over the years we have expanded and introduced new mares to our string, breeding top quality speed as well as performance and pleasure horses.

Below are the three horses that started IB Stables' reputation of breeding quality Appaloosas.
